Congratulations Ruqayyah Rida!

On behalf of the Colchester Junior Chess Club, we would like to congratulate Ruqayyah Rida on her recent achievements!

At 12 years of age, Ruqayyah Rida has achieved the Women's Candidate Master title this month. And not only that, by achieving this title, this incredibly intelligent young lady has secured her title in becoming a Women's Fide Master this coming August!

Talking to Ruqayyah about her achievement, she quoted that "it was a nice feeling and I was rather happy" when the ratings came out. Moreover, Ruqayyah spoke about her next steps which are to carry on playing the fascinating game of chess and continuing to enjoy it to her heart's content!

Congratulations again Ruqayyah! We can't wait to see what you will achieve next :)
